UBS 2025

Toprock Climbing will be hosting a UBS Competition on Saturday February 1st.

Don’t miss out on the chance to compete with other College and University athletes from across Ontario!

This event is meant to bring student climbers together to have a fun day of climbing, with a little added competitive flare.

The way this competition works is that we will be taking the top scores for the top 3 male and female climbers from each school to calculate your school’s score. The school with the highest score will be crowned the UBS Champ!

Competition Details: This competition is set up as a scramble which means that everyone will be given a score card, and they have 2.5 hours to complete as many hard climbs as possible. At the end of the day we will be tallying the top 3 male and top 3 female climbers' scores from each school and that will be the school's final score.

We will release all scores including the schools and individual rankings amongst other students. The top male and female competitors will also receive a prize for doing the best at the competition.

We will have 3 time slots on the 1st that students can sign up for. We will be giving out draw prizes at each of the time slots, so everyone has the chance to take something home :).


Cost: $50 plus HST

Format: Scramble

Duration: 2.5 Hours

Scoring: Your individual score is calculated using your top 5 climbs. More points are awarded if you complete the climb in less attempts. All scores will be posted after the competition on our website. Whereas, school scores are calculated using the top 3 male and female climbers' scores.

Categories: There are no beginner or open categories, everyone climbs together!

Prizes: There will be draw prizes at each time slot!
